Ask Price

Basics

The lowest price a seller is willing to accept for an asset.

Bid Price

Basics

The highest price a buyer is willing to pay for an asset.

Spread

Basics

The difference between the bid and ask price. A tighter spread means lower trading cost.

Entry Point

Trade Execution

The price at which you open (enter) a trade. FusionTrades signals always include a recommended entry price.

Exit Point

The price at which you close (exit) a trade, either at your Take Profit or Stop Loss.

Stop Loss (SL)

Risk Management

An order that automatically closes your trade at a set loss level to protect your capital. Always use one.

Take Profit (TP)

An order that automatically closes your trade when your target profit level is reached.

Support Level

Chart Analysis

A price floor where buying pressure tends to increase, preventing the price from falling further.

Resistance Level

A price ceiling where selling pressure tends to increase, preventing the price from rising further.

Bullish

Market Direction

Expecting prices to rise. A bullish signal from FusionTrades means you should look to buy.

Bearish

Long

Trade Execution

Buying a position with the expectation that the price will go up. Going 'long' = bullish trade.

Short

Selling a position with the expectation that the price will go down. Going 'short' = bearish trade.

Leverage

Risk Management

Borrowing capital to increase your trade size. Amplifies both gains AND losses — use with caution.

Margin

The deposit required to open a leveraged position. Think of it as collateral.

Pip

Forex

The smallest standard price movement in forex, usually 0.0001 (e.g. EUR/USD moving from 1.1000 to 1.1001 = 1 pip).

Lot Size

The quantity or volume of an asset being traded. In forex, a standard lot = 100,000 units of base currency.

Candlestick

Chart Analysis

A chart bar showing the open, high, low, and close price for a given time period. The backbone of technical analysis.

Breakout

Chart Analysis

When price moves decisively beyond a key support or resistance level, often signalling a new trend direction.

Volume

Chart Analysis

The total number of shares or contracts traded during a period. High volume confirms the strength of a move.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

Indicators

A momentum indicator (0–100) showing whether an asset is overbought (>70) or oversold (<30). Used to time entries.

MACD

Moving Average Convergence Divergence — a trend-following indicator that shows momentum shifts and potential reversals.

Moving Average (MA)

Indicators

The average price of an asset over a set number of periods. Smooths out price noise to reveal trends.

Signal

Liquidity

Volatility
